Humankind has reached a state of development in which old
modes of thinking and behaving threaten to destroy our planet.
We are living through a global crisis in which only a profound
revolution can save us from total self-destruction.
Those of us who are dedicated to the preservation of life
must play a prominent part in this revolution, which calls
for a substantial change in our manner of thinking.
On social, environmental and health fronts we are confronting
a critical transition. We are facing the results of an epistemology
which focuses on material and rational values, human supremacy
and competition for domination. Will this transition be into
chaos and destruction or will it be into the new paradigm
based on spiritual, ecological connectedness and cooperation.
Our aim is to contribute towards this next great global step
- The Final Frontier, acknowledging the common ground of humanity
and its connectedness with all life.
We require urgent ecological, social, economic and political
solutions to problems which affect billions of people if we
are to survive sustainably.

the many committed groups, educational centres andaccess private
funding to provide a focus for Australia and for our region
which encompasses the multifaceted nature of this emerging
paradigm in one centralised body. The Global Peace Centre
will become a resource centre Integrating Ecology and Technology
and new ways of thinking at governemental, educational, industry
and community levels.
Recognition of the one-ness of life on earth, of its beauty,
and its sanctity, must be spread by an almost messianic revolution.
The creation of awareness, of consciousness, of the need for
change needs a focus, a place from which it can radiate throughout
the globe. Perhaps the beginning would be the sort of world
conference which you envisage, a call not only to man's intellect,
his comprehension and reasoning power but also to the driving
force of his underlying spirituality, his ability to care
for others, for other forms of life for the earth as his home
and responsibility".

The Academy For Future Science is a
non-profit corporation that examines new scientific ideas for
the future. Through science and information technology, the
world is undergoing major transformations in social, cultural,
economic, and environmental dimensions. The principle goal of
the Academy is to provide all people with educational and scientific
tools that will help them meet the resulting challenges. To
accomplish this goal, we provide new out-reach learning programs
that include seminars, presentations, and electronic textbooks.

The global revolution in human consciousness
Without a global revolution in the sphere
of human consciousness, nothing will change for the better
in the sphere of our being as humans, and the catastrophe
toward which this world is headed -be it ecological, social,
demographic or a general breakdown of civilization - will
be unavoidable. If we are no longer threatened by world war
or by the danger that the absurd mountains of accumulated
nuclear weapons might blow up the world, this does not mean
that we have definitively won. We are, in fact, far from the

| The medicine of light is preempted
on the understanding that consciousness is the primary
phenonemon in the universe and that light is the basis
of creation. Superluminal light, or the basic quanta or
photons for the common ground of reality on which the
universe exists allows for the intersection of many energetic
informational spectra. The subatomic world of electrons,
protons and neutrons are viewed as patterns of vibrational
spectra. Higher consciousness is connected with the embodiment

Media
The instinct of the media is to concentrate
only on dramatic events, e.g. delivering warfare as an incident
full of drama and excitement. Media never really covers a
conflict in entirety. It does not seek to pursue or analyse
the situation in any depth, and news becomes just a passing
fancy, rather than an ability to open eyes or open hearts.
We are censored from information. Just as transnational companies
become few and powerful, there are only several powerful news
agencies in the world, which give information which is often
politically or system-biased.

Environment and Resources - The Erosion
of Biodiversity
Human beings have already changed the environment
of the planet radically and have caused many other bio-extinctions
of other species. If current trends continue the picture will
get worse. The projected extra six billion people in the next
hundred years, predicted for 2020 would need more room to
live and grow food. If there are more of us, there is less
room for plants and animals. There is less room for the tropical
rainforests and the planetary biodiversity of species. Human
beings are causing extinctions at 100-10,000 times the natural
rate. This is the greatest way of extinction since the end
of the cretaceous period 65 million years ago when the dinosaurs
were annihilated.
The warming climate is undermining biodiversity
by accelerating
habitat loss, altering the timing of animal migrations and
plant
flowerings, and shifting some species toward the poles and
to higher altitudes.
* The oceans have absorbed about half of the carbon dioxide
emitted by humans in the last 200 years. Climate change is
altering fish migration routes, pushing up sea levels, intensifying
coastal erosion, raising ocean acidity, and interfering with
currents that move vital nutrients upward from the deep sea.
* Despite a relatively calm U.S. hurricane season in 2006,
the
world experienced more weather-related disasters than in any
of the previous three years. Nearly 100 million people were
affected.
Already, the window to prevent catastrophic climate change
appears to be closing. Some governments are starting to redirect
their attention away from climate change mitigation and toward
staking their claims in a warming world. "Canada is spending
$3 billion to build eight new patrol boats to reinforce its
claim over Arctic waterways. Denmark and Russia are starting
to vie for control over the Lomonosov Ridge, where new sources
of oil and natural gas could be accessed if the Arctic Circle
becomes ice free-fossil fuels that will further exacerbate
climate change. These actions assume that a warming world
is here," said Assadourian. www.worldwatch.org
A United Nations panel warned global warming
will cause extinctions to mount, water shortages to spread
and droughts and floods to become more frequent as man-made
emissions of greenhouse gases cause the Earth to warm. The
Arctic, sub-Saharan Africa, small island states and the big
river deltas of Asia are among the most vulnerable areas,
Martin Parry, co-chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate
Change working group that produced today's report, told reporters
at a press conference in Brussels. 'It is the poorest of the
poor in the world, even the poorest in the most prosperous
nations, who are going to be the worst hit and are the most
vulnerable,'' IPCC Chairman Rajendra Pachauri said. 'We have
far greater regional detail,'' than the last IPCC report in
2001, such as the melting of glaciers, sea-level rise, impacts

Economics
and Goverment - The Global Crisis In Human Relationships
Globalisation on the free trade model of
the neo-liberal Washington consensus economics is colliding
with local cultures natural economic sovereignty, social customs
and values, as well as traditional agriculture, indigenous
rights and the protection of biodiversity and the environment.
The fundamental issue is the very economic model underlying
today's Globalisation of technology, trades and markets. The
critics from many diverse perspectives agree that free trade
doesn't account for social and environmental costs and cultural
disruption in the price in traded goods and services will
continue to cause more harm than good. The World Bank, the
IMF, the US Government and the WTO still refuse to recalculate
prices and microeconomic indicators including the GDP to include
these social and environmental costs, which contribute towards
the deterioration of human life. Civil society movement groups
throughout the world are committed to the idea of preserving
human identity and enriching biological and cultural diversity.

Economics
The traditional model of "homo economicus"
- that ever-rational individual, always maximizing his self-interest
in competition with others is now acknowledged as unrealistic.
It is a fear and scarcity model based on the early reptilian
brain and the territoriality of our primitive past .This bleak
model of human behavior at the heart of economics is not only
dismal - but increasingly proven wrong by many other scientists
and much recent research by neuroscientists, microbiologists,
psychologists, anthropologists and yes, game theorists. This
is why many recent Bank of Sweden Economics prizes have gone
to scientists studying human behavior beyond the economics
profession, from psychologists to game theorists John Harsonyi,
John Nash and Reinhard Selten in 1994.

that Darwin was more interested in the human capacity to bond
and trust as factors in Human Success. A chorus of scientists
are now calling for the Nobel Prize in Economics to be abolished...

ONE CRUCIAL aspect of the rising disaffection
with globalization is the lack of citizen participation in
the global institutions that shape people's daily lives. This
public frustration is deeper and broader than the recent street
demonstrations in Seattle and Prague. Social commentators
and leaders of citizens' and intergovernmental organizations
are increasingly taking heed. In 2000, President Clinton joined
with the secretary-general of the United Nations, the director-general
of the World Trade Organization (WTO), the managing director
of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the president
of the World Bank to call for greater citizen participation
in the international order.
Under the articles of agreement of the World
Trade Organization (WTO)), the food giants have been granted
unrestricted freedom to enter the seeds' markets of developing
countries. The acquisition of exclusive "intellectual
property rights" over plant varieties by international
agro-industrial interests, also favors the destruction of
bio-diversity.Acting on behalf of a handful of biotech conglomerates
GMO seeds have been imposed on farmers, often in the context
of "food aid programs". In Ethiopia, for instance,
kits of GMO seeds were handed out to impoverished farmers
with a view to rehabilitating agricultural production in the
wake of a major drought. The GMO seeds were planted, yielding
a harvest. But then the farmer came to realize that the GMO
seeds could not be replanted without paying royalties to Monsanto,
Arch Daniel Midland et al. Then, the farmers discovered that
the seeds would harvest only if they used the farm inputs
including the fertilizer, insecticide and herbicide, produced
and distributed by the biotech agribusiness companies. Entire
peasant economies were locked into the grip of the agribusiness
conglomerates. The main biotech giants in GMO include Monsanto,
Syngenta, Aventis, DuPont, Dow Chemical, Cargill and Arch

Common Ground
| We have to
move away from the feudalism of our modern society in
which people are disempowered by the system and by the
nature of the institution.. People are losing there dreams
and yet this Millennium has been called the Millennium
of the Mind. We need to place value in an absolute sense

Renaissance of consciousness and thinking
The words of wise leaders have cautioned
us about the need for a fundamental shift in thinking and
perception. Former Czech President Vaçlav Havel and
Albert Einstein are two such figures. Havel, in his February
1990 address to the United States Congress, spoke of the "antiquated
straitjacket of the bipolar view of the world," and stressed
that "without a global revolution in the sphere of human
consciousness, nothing will change for the better in the sphere
of our being as humans. " Einstein warned repeatedly
that without a fundamental change in human thinking, our species
would drift toward ultimate catastrophe.

Wisdom, spirituality and personal transformation
A new era and a new millennium can bring
us exploration of our inner world. It can be a more harmonious
era of peace, cooperation and sensitivity - with emphasis
leaning towards feminine energy. Although scientific and technological
advances will continue, emphasis will be more on the exploration
of the relationship between peoples, surroundings and the

Planetary Initiation
INSIGHT: In the reinterpretation of ancient
mystical texts for this current age, they point to an interconnected
cosmos filled with higher beings in which their values reflect
