Vaclav Havel, president of the Czech Republic, has said: "Without
a global revolution in the sphere of human consciousness, nothing
will change for the better... and the catastrophe toward which this
world is headed-the ecological, social, demographic, or general
breakdown of civilization-will be unavoidable."
Albert Einstein said that we need a substantially
new manner of thinking if Humankind is to survive.
The key is a critical mass of change through the access of new
consciousness which upholds the dignity of human life and all of
life and realizes the fundamental interdependence and one--ness
of life
The esoteric and perennial teaching held by Indigenous peoples ,mystical
teachings and in the deep recesses of all religion is in fact part
of the consciousness and hidden potential of all Humanity. Owing
to the current perturbation of the whole Human life support system
the birth right of humanity is bubbling up through the collective
Unconscious.
The critical mass for change depends on the Hundredth monkey effect.
This Indicates the Critical Human Being who tips the scale of mass
Consciousness whereby the people awaken to the Consciousness for
The Need For Change.
With the current Global Crisis it is evident that Economy structures
should be modified and designed to meet the needs of people in society.
It is the government that should be responsible for this structural
policy implementation which needs to be designed and substantiated
by new research institutions. The current economy is deteriorating
generally as shown by a global recession, global food shortages
and peak oil in which there is an increasing sector to the global
economic market of destructive and criminal tendencies. (Humanistic
Economics - Dr Pavel Kashyanov)
It is essential that there be governance and regulation of the
economy related to genuine public needs with the development of
beneficial aspects and the abolition of harmful sections.
Globalization on the free trade model of the neo-liberal Washington
consensus economics is colliding with local cultures natural economic
sovereignty, social customs and values, as well as traditional agriculture,
indigenous rights and the protection of biodiversity and the environment.
The fundamental issue is the very economic model underlying today's
Globalization of technology, trades and markets. The critics from
many diverse perspectives agree that free trade doesn't account
for social and environmental costs and cultural disruption in the
price in traded goods and services will continue to cause more harm
than good.
The World Bank, the IMF, the US Government and the WTO still refuse
to recalculate prices and microeconomic indicators including the
GDP to include these social and environmental costs, which contribute
towards the deterioration of human life.
Civil society movement groups throughout the world are committed
to the idea of preserving human identity and enriching biological
and cultural diversity.
Education and Well Being are prerequisites for a healthy Environment
and Economy. Instead we find a Global System which uses education
to manipulate our future generations to be the brain fodder for
transnational corporations, the Pharmaceutical Industry and the
Military Industrial complex. Education for life is not included
in this plan. Universities create a fragmented approach to education
not seeing the all the various subjects are interlinked into one
whole. Doctors are trained to be technicians for prescribing Pharmaceutical
chemical drugs which have many side effects. They are not trained
to heal. The globalized culture of westernization although enhancing
freedom of expression is built on the philosophy and premise that
wealth is the key to happiness at the expense of anything else to
the extent that Human Beings are purely data in an economic calculator
for the global monetocracy and elite.
This is now leading to increased wars for territory, Global economic
crisis . tremendous Global poverty and as a result of vast exploitation
of our living and non living resources , climate change. pollution
and a phase 6th extinction of Global diversity.
The fundamental orientation of the sciences must be to enhance
the role of consciousness and to understand that any experiment
is influenced by the intention and expectation of the researcher.
Science objectifies phenomenal reality not realizing we are always
part of the process and the experiment. Over differentiation and
reductionism has led to over specialization so that the total all
inclusive picture is not seen. Science needs to become humanized.
The raising of consciousness and awareness is the only way that
humanity has to free itself from the potential of ecological and
species catastrophe.
Our survival as a species, is dependent upon the new meta Paradigm
which brings together science and religion in terms of a new understanding
of the nature of consciousness and a holistic approach to life rather
than a reductive materialistic approach.
This is in fact happening, as we begin to see the supreme importance
of consciousness, in our lives, and the significance of love, gratitude,
and the essence of consciousness from which all true wisdom emanates.
This edition of the New Paradigm Journal is devoted to these important
issues, placing emphasis on the nature of consciousness, healing
and ways by which we can raise awareness, and articulate the true
nature of our predicament and also the true nature of consciousness
and true holistic education.
There is the need for true information and education to be widely
promulgated so that people are aware of, and understand the critical
nature of our situation on the planet.
The New Paradigm Journal emphasizes a new frame of reference as
to the true nature of the human being and our connectedness with
the total universe.
.
One way to implement change is to create living communities who
create environmental and energy conservation, new forms of energy
production (solar) and organic, perma-culture, horticulture, in
an independent self -regulating autonomous communal environment.
The New Paradigm Journal aims to cultivate a critical mass and
the formation of a nexus of change,. It is this Critical Mass which
will be the catalyst for creating a better and more sustainable
World.
And men go abroad to admire the heights
of mountains, the mighty billows of the sea, the broad tide of rivers,
the compass of the ocean, and the circuits of the stars, and pass
themselves by . . . (St Augustine)
The truth is that all-out economic growth can
no longer be viewed as the ideal way of reconciling material progress
with equity, respect for the human condition, and respect for the
natural assets that we have a duty to hand on in good condition
to future generations." - JACQUES DELORS
If human kind is to survive there has to
be substantially new manner of thinking (Einstein) and a massive
change in consciousness. (Vaclav Havel)
