The new edition of The New Paradigm Journal
Our survival as a species, is dependent upon the new meta Paradigm
which brings together science and religion.
This is in fact happening, as we begin to see
the supreme importance of consciousness, in our lives, and the significance
of love, gratitude, and the essence of light from which all true
wisdom emanates.
The raising of consciousness and awareness is
the only way that humanity has to free itself from the potential
of ecological and species catastrophe.
Thisw edition of the newparadigmjournal is devoted
to these important issues, placing emphasis on the nature of consciousness,
healing and ways by which we can raise awareness, and articulate
the true nature of our predicament and also the true nature of consciousness
and true holistic education.
I would like to emphasise a new frame of reference
as to the true nature of the human being and our connectedness with
the total universe.
I feel that the priority this new edition is to
highlight healing, education and social integration as an integrative
whole. We also should be be looking at the nature of peace which
includes healing in the broadest possible sense. Indeed vibrational
healing and non local healing especially prayer and meditation are
ways in which we can influence the morphogenic or bioenergetic field
of the planet.
The dawning of a paradigm shift is upon us. Can we make the jump
to the realization that a new era and a new millennium implies the
evolution of consciousness above everything else.
A new era and a new millennium can bring us to
an exploration of our inner world. It can be a more harmonious era
of peace, cooperation and sensitivity - with emphasis leaning towards
feminine energy. Although scientific and technological advances
will continue, emphasis will be more on the exploration of the relationship
between peoples, surroundings and the cosmos.
What is needed is a new international humanitarian
era based on the common ground of humanity - looking to life and
common humanism as the core value for a sustainable society. This
means not just human life. It means the whole spectrum of life that
creates the biosphere.
Our aim is to create a movement which will expand
into a new way forward focussed on a future of hope and peace.
Vaclev Havel, President of Czechoslovakia has
said, "Without a global revoltion of human consciousness nothing
will change for the better in the sphere of our being as humans
and the catastrophe towards which this world is headed, be it ecological,
demographic, social or the general breakdown of civilization will
be unavoidable".
n Let us open the gates of wisdom
And the final frontiers of perception
And cast the gleaming jewel
n Of the Human heart
Like a ball Into the Universe
That our words and thoughts
n Confront and transform
A Humanity torn from ashes
Into the Phoenix which soars
Into the skies of infinite peace
We all are keys to the unguessable future of humankind,
of infinite potential based on transformation of consciousness through
global awareness of the dignity, uniqueness, sacredness and interconnectedness
of all life. Transformation means healing.and inner change to love
of self, of humanity and of the planet.
The New Prardigm Journal provides a focus, a creation
of awareness and of consciousness for the need for change to radiate
throughout the globe, This is a call not only to human intellect,
our comprehension and reasoning power, but also to the driving force
of our underlying spirituality.
Basis for Action
We have to re-evaluate ourselves as the prime
cause of the problems we are facing, and redefine the profound value
inherent in every single human being. This is something that the
United Nations conferences, as yet, have not really addressed.
A human Renaissance of thought, conscience and
ethics is required if we are to survive
'The highest wisdom has but one science - the science of the whole
- the science explaining the whole creation and man's place in it.'
(Leo Tolstoy, War and Peace)
Thomas Kuhn introduced the idea that science functions
under the control of a paradigm. For centuries science has been
guided by a paradigm based on the intellectual achievements of Newton
and Descartes, who saw the world mechanistically and reductively,
with its division of inside and outside, subject and object. This
has been overturned by the work of Einstein and his theory of relativity,
the atomic physicists and others who have discovered laws that don't
fit the old paradigm. The new paradigm which is emerging takes into
account the observer as well as the thing observed, and the fact
that the two cannot be separated. There cannot be objective knowledge
without a knowing subject: what we see must be relative to and influenced
by where we are and who we are.
In human affairs, objectivity on its own does
not work because it contradicts what it means to be a human being.
A human being is not an object. He or she is not only a thinking
but a feeling person with emotions, values, hunches, intuitions,
sensitivities which have a tremendous influence on what they do
and how they perceive the world. He or she is both an individual,
alone in their own private world, and also a member of a particular
society; and, in turn, that society belongs to a wider community,
the human family, with which every individual shares common experiences
and aspirations and a common global environment.
Comment
It has been said that "the scientific manipulation
of public opinion was necessary to overcome chaos and conflict in
a democratic society."
Indeed those who manipulate the unseen mechanism of society constitute
an invisible government which is the true ruling power of any country.
We are governed, our minds molded, our tastes formed, our ideas
suggested largely by men we have never heard of.
The outcome of a new era for Humankind is dependent
on the conception of a new ethos leading to definitive action by
those individuals, organisations, institutions, industries and nations
who wish to create a better world than that described above.
Our health system worldwide is in crisis. This
crisis is exacerbated by the costs and profits generated by the
pharmaceutical industry. The combined worth of the worlds top five
drug companies, is twice the combined GMP of all Sub Sahara Africa
and their influence on World Trade is extremely powerful because
they bring their wealth directly on the levers of Western power.
(The Governments)
Chronic diseases represent a huge proportion of
human illness. They include cardiovascular disease (30% of projected
total worldwide deaths in 2005), cancer (13%), chronic respiratory
diseases (7%), and diabetes (2%). Two risk factors underlying these
conditions are key to any population-wide strategy of control-tobacco
use and obesity. These risks and the diseases they engender are
not the exclusive preserve of rich nations. Chronic diseases are
a larger problem in low-income settings The evidence shows that
it is critical to intervene early in the epidemic's course. Now
is the time to act to prevent the needless deaths of millions. (Lancet)
It is no wonder that the health system is in crisis
when the whole essence of health care is based on the use of allopathic
drugs. The pharmaceutical industry exists and feeds on illness.
Without illness it cannot grow because it cannot create new drugs
to band-aid the illness. Yet it is known that iatrogenic illness
or illness caused by drugs or technological intervention is such
that the treatment of illness is now the fourth commonest cause
of death in Western Society. (Journal of the American Medical Association)
This information is a followup of the Institute
of Medicine report which hit the papers in December of 1999, but
the data was hard to reference as it was not in peer-reviewed journal.
It was then published in JAMA July 26, 2000;284(4):483-5 which is
the most widely circulated medical journal in the world.
.
It said that Doctors are the third leading cause Of death in the
US causing 25000 deaths every year. 4% and 18% of consecutive patients
experience negative effects in outpatient settings. 250,000 deaths
a year averages out to nearly 750 deaths a day, every daySixteen
per cent of patients who enter hospital either die or come out worse
than when they went in. (Medical Journal of Australia 1995)
The health system based on a band aid approach
takes advantage of a global market, placed there, simply to make
money at the expense of anything and anybody else
It is also evident that the quality of so called
scientific research is deteriorating
The New York Times reports In The National Institutes of Health
(NIH) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) are now so
thoroughly beholden to industry that they are broken, unable to
perform their duties to protect the public.
The Los Angeles Times reported July 11 that allegations
of faked scientific findings increased 50% between 2003 and 2004.[1]
But the Times also noted that the federal Office of Research Integrity
cannot keep up with the rising tide of scientific fakery because
it's budget is far too small. The office received 274 allegations
of scientific fakery in 2004, but was able to complete only 23 investigations.
Corporate suppression of data is now so routine
that no one raises an eyebrow.
Our world faces the challenge of healing in every
conceivable way- from the healing of grief, the understanding of
death, the suffering of millions within the developing world, where
lives are cut short, often to a couple of decades, and where one
out of every three children will die from a preventable disease
An integrated health system which is based on communication between
all specialties of doctors, as well as other health professionals,
with the prime aim of giving members of public the opportunity to
heal themselves by using the latest understanding ofMedicine of
light, body-mind medicine, psychoneuroimmunology, nutritional, environmental
and preventive medicine as well as accessing the very best of complimentary
medicine.
Above and beyond all of this is the need to change attitudes and
mind-set so that we may have healing in the broadest possible sense-
healing not only of our Global society, but also of our planet as
they are all related and all vitally connected.
